Energica electric motorcycles have CHAdeMO fast charging

A pioneer in fast charging, Italian electric motorcycle manufacturer Energica has just integrated CHAdeMO fast charging into all 2021 models.

In the field of electric motorcycles, fast charging is gradually democratizing. The emergence of blocks with even greater capacity is questionable, which justifies the integration of charging solutions that are much more efficient than the classic household outlet.

Energica, a pioneer in its line of electric sports motorcycles, already uses the European Combo CCS standard on all of its models. It now offers the Japanese CHAdeMO standard as an option. As for the combo, the connector is under the saddle. The characteristics are identical to those stated for the Combo. Thus, the new CHAdeMO connector allows you to restore the range of up to 6.7 km per minute of charging.

The price of this new CHAdeMO option is not listed, but the manufacturer indicates that it will be available globally. One way to respond to markets where the Japanese standard is much more prevalent.
