A small survey showed that the ladies behind the wheel are more law-abiding.

Taxi driver example
Surprisingly, seat belt rules are generally followed by taxi drivers. When they ride without a passenger, they wear seat belts in accordance with the regulations. They can do without them when driving a client. In addition, many Olsztyn taxis have stickers that remind passengers to fasten their seat belts while driving, as the client pays a fine if stopped by the police.
So are the passengers.
The issue of belts was investigated by specialists from the Gdansk University of Technology. They show that 60 percent. drivers do not use the "leash" when driving around the city. “Well, the drivers neglect this duty,” admits the superintendent. Adam Kolodzieski, head of the traffic department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Olsztyn. “The situation is even worse for passengers, who, as few of them remember, also have to buckle up while driving.
Only the decision of the medical commission releases from this obligation. Drivers and passengers of vehicles that were not equipped with seat belts at the factory (for example, the old Fiat 126p) do not need to be fastened.
At the sight of a police car
Ignoring debt can be fatal. Especially when the accident occurs outside the city, where you usually drive at high speeds. – It is in the interest of every driver to wear seat belts. They saved the lives of many people, recalls Commissioner Kolodzeisky. The traffic police very often tells drivers to fasten their seat belts. They use cash blocks less often. Be that as it may, one sight of a police or police car is already enough: drivers and passengers are immediately drawn to seat belts.
