With this law, lawmakers are urging drivers to try to stay completely away from their phones while driving.

“While distracted driving law is becoming more stringent, punishment for distracted driving will remain the same in the state (Washington),” reports DMV.

But the state of Washington is not the only one with strict rules against phone use while driving, at least 16 states of the American Union, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands have similar laws restricting the use of devices. driving technique.
