Is your air conditioner in excellent condition?

Air conditioning and climate control systems are a luxurious addition to any vehicle, but they need to be maintained.

It works by having the compressor cool and dehumidify the air before it circulates around the cabin, creating a consistently pleasant indoor climate, regardless of the outside temperature. It also removes condensation from the inside of windows on cool mornings and when it rains.

The disadvantage of air conditioning is that the temperature in the car is not constant. It gets too cold easily. Therefore, fully automatic climate control is becoming increasingly popular, as it constantly maintains the same temperature, for example 21 or 22 degrees Celsius, which is comfortable for many drivers.

Air conditioning systems need maintenance

When the car is new, the amount of coolant is optimal and the compressor works as it should. But according to some experts, small leaks in joints and seals can cause up to 10 percent of coolant to leak in just one year.

If there is not enough coolant in the system, the compressor will stop working and in some cases fail. Therefore, it is important to have air conditioning or checked climate control system approximately once every two years, so that coolant can be topped up if necessary. At the same time, you can clean the air ducts so that any unpleasant odors disappear.
