"Volzhsky Automobile Plant" in its history has produced many different models of cars. One of the classic versions of the VAZ is 21075, equipped with a carburetor engine. This model has not been produced since 2012, but is still in active use by connoisseurs of the domestic auto industry.

The "seventh" VAZ series left the factory assembly line in 1982. "Seven" was a "luxury" version of the previous model VAZ 2105, which, in turn, was developed on the basis of the Fiat 124. That is, we can say that the roots of the domestic automotive industry go to the Italian auto industry.

In the spring of 2017, the Avtostat analytical agency found that the most popular sedan in Russia is the VAZ 2107 and all its modifications. At the time of the study, more than 1,75 million Russians used a car.

Any car produced at the Volga Automobile Plant is required to receive several identification numbers. So, the most important of them are the body number and engine number.

The engine number is a kind of passport for a specific model, because it can be used to identify the car and trace the entire history of the “four” from the very beginning. The engine number on the VAZ 21074 is stamped on the left wall of the cylinder block, immediately below the distributor.

All other passport data of the car can be found on the aluminum plate located on the bottom shelf of the air intake box. Here are the following options:

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, this car was discontinued and you can only buy it in the secondary market. There are no specific kits. This car is quite popular for tuning, car owners understand that their cars are very far from ideal and make them either retro or racing style. My car was bought for 45 rubles for the same amount and was sold. But whatever it was, only positive memories remained in my memory.

The resource of the carburetor engine is relatively large - from 150 to 200 thousand kilometers. On the VAZ 21074, the repair of the power unit and the carburetor mechanism is not considered a costly procedure, since all components and parts are made according to the most simplified schemes.

By modern standards, the exterior of the VAZ 21074 is outdated.

It is difficult to talk about appearance, because in fact the car is very outdated and looks like a rarity in the city. But in any case, from a certain angle, we can say that it seems not terrible. In a word, classicism.

Due to the fact that the entire line of the VAZ 2107 family (and the VAZ 21074 is no exception here) is rear-wheel drive, the engine is located in front, which made it possible to significantly expand the cabin space: both in the ceiling and in the legs for the driver and front row passenger.

The upholstery is made of special plastic alloys, which do not give glare and are unpretentious in care. The floor of the car is covered with polypropylene mats. The pillars from the body and the inner parts of the doors are sheathed with plastic of medium hardness, and are covered with capro-velour on top. The seats in most cars are upholstered in durable wear-resistant fabric - velutin.

It must also be said that in the VAZ 21074 a large number of “auxiliary” materials are used for interior decoration - various kinds of mastics, bitumen gaskets, felt pillows and lines. All these materials somehow come into contact with the upholstery (doors, bottom, seats) and protect the interior from excessive noise from the outside. Bitumen and mastic are mainly used in equipping the bottom of the car, while soft and textile materials are used in upholstery and trim. This equipment helps not only to make the presence of a person in the cabin more comfortable, but also solves a number of other problems:

VAZ 21074 is considered a more comfortable version of the VAZ 2107. Comfort is achieved in various ways, including the simplification of driving. So, the instrument panel serves to ensure that the driver at any time can see the current data on both the ride and the state of his "iron horse".

On the VAZ 21074, the dashboard is made up of many elements, each of which shows the operation of a particular unit in the car. The panel is embedded in the torpedo of the car from the driver's side. All elements are under plastic glass: on the one hand, they are clearly visible, on the other hand, the devices will be protected from possible mechanical shocks.

  1. The speedometer is a special mechanism that shows the current speed. The scale is numbered in divisions from 0 to 180, where each division is the speed in kilometers per hour.

Light bulbs turn on only when there is a malfunction of a particular system or when a certain option is turned on.
