Verge TS: amazing electric motorcycle without crystal arrives in 2022

From RMK E2 to Verge TS

Of course, this isn't the first time you've heard of the Verge TS. This electric motorcycle has indeed already been presented by its manufacturer at the EICMA exhibition in Milan in February 2019. Then the two-wheeled motorcycle was called the RMK E2.

Following this presentation, the Finnish manufacturer changed its name from RMK Vehicle Corporation to Verge Motorcycles. But that's not all ! The company has spent the past two years perfecting the design and technology of its electric two-wheeler, which it renamed the Verge TS.

Significant changes!

Staying true to the basic concept, the Verge electric motorcycle has undergone some significant changes. Weighing just 225kg with the battery, the TS has a motor built into the rear wheel that now has more power (80kW instead of 50kW for the RMK E2). Its top speed is now 180 km/h (instead of 160 km/h) and its torque is 1000 Nm (against 320 Nm for the E2!). The Verge TS can also sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds.

Motorcycle suspensions are manufactured by Öhlins. They can be adjusted front and back. As for the front wheel, it is designed by BST, and its brakes (which can be activated, like on a bicycle, from the handlebars) are Brembo.

Up to 300 km of autonomy

In terms of autonomy, no noticeable changes: still 300 km in the city and 200 km on the highway.

The battery, installed in the center of the aluminum frame, is fully charged in 4 hours. Its power has not yet been specified. With a DC charger, you can reach 100 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging.

Futuristic design

Aesthetically, the front end of the Verge TS is very similar to the front end of the new Suzuki GSX-S1000. Obviously, all the external originality of a two-wheeled car lies in its rear wheel without a hub, in which the engine is built. Thanks to the direct drivetrain, this hyper-futuristic design significantly reduces friction losses.

Delivered in 2022

The Verge TS is currently available for pre-order on its manufacturer's website at a price of € 24 (with a first deposit of € 990). Deliveries will begin in the year 2.
