I love additions to board games. Whenever I feel like I already know the title inside out, there is an expansion that turns all my knowledge on its head, giving me the opportunity to try again and discover new paths to victory. Interestingly, often several of these additional modules are added to one game, and each of them changes or adds something!

You probably all know Dixit. This is a wonderful association game in which one person secretly chooses a card and describes it in a word or even a sentence, and the other players choose from their decks the cards that best match the association. Then we mix everything and open it on the table, trying to find the storyteller's card. This year we celebrated the 9th anniversary of Dixit, so Dixit 10 Jubilee Edition celebrates the 84th anniversary of the series with XNUMX cards drawn by all the cartoonists in the series.

The Settlers of Catan was my second board game as an adult. That's why Catan, an expansion pack for 5-6 players, has been sitting proudly on the shelf for years. If you're a fan of Catan and your group is more than four people, you should definitely get this add-on!

In each of the three epochs, we play an additional leader card that has special abilities that allow us to refine and improve our strategy. There are a lot of cards, so the chances of getting the same set in two games are very small. I can't imagine the 7 Wonders of the World without the Leaders!

Few games at our table evoke such emotions as Monsters in Tokyo. That is why Monsters in Tokio Power Up should definitely be on our shelf. A new monster that is as dangerous as the cute Pandakai, mutation cards, additional abilities - oh, what is there just not here! Such a small box, so much fun - be sure to try it.

Mars Terraformation is a real masterpiece among the heavier strategy and economic games. Mars Terraforming: Hellas and Elysium brings the base game to life so much that it may actually be the only expansion (although there are already five!). It's all about the new double-sided board with new layouts and areas, and most importantly - with twenty new titles and awards. Suddenly it turns out that the strategies developed earlier lose their meaning, because the layout of tiles or cards needed for scoring looked completely different in the base game. Now we need to bring our plans in line with the new guidelines. Dream accessory!

Welcome to Zombie Invasion and Ice Madness, two new Entry Card Blocks and a set of additional Objective Cards. Our beautiful city is overrun with brain-hungry zombies and we have to defend ourselves against them by shooting and getting separated from them. Ice Madness, in turn, is a big rolling ice cream truck that we have to keep a close eye on in order to get extra points. It's really incredible how small it is overall, but the double padding can add to the enjoyment of the game. Now every game in Welcome to has become even more diverse.
