The video clip gives a glimpse of the 2022 DeLorean.

In 1982, DeLorean Motors closed due to legal problems with the US government. Everything now points to a new look for the DeLorean in 2022.

The DeLorean DMC-12 model car, also recognized as one of the best trilogies in the world, Back to the Future, these are unique models that the DeLorean brand Engines launched and at the time offered a futuristic design with gullwing doors.

54 years after that car's disappearance, DeLorean promises to return in 2022, announcing a new styling startup in partnership with Italdesign and a key figure in another recent automotive renaissance. While this little video clip doesn't show us much, it hints at the project and you can see slightly refined details.

While the DMC-12 series has been in the planning stages for years, this project is focused on what could be next for the long-dead automaker, namely an all-electric model of the future.

Here we leave a 15-second video where you can see a little bit of what the new DeLorean will be like.

The original creation of this car is credited to John Zachary DeLorean, an American mechanical engineer from Michigan.

After graduating from Lawrence Tech with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, the young visionary briefly worked in the life insurance industry. But then he started his career working in the automotive world.

With the support of the British government of James Callaghan and almost £100 million allocated to build a plant in Ireland, production of the DeLorean DMC-12 began.

A car that at first glance appears to be a very fast sports car was actually terribly slow. But that was the price paid for the expectations that were demanded of an exotic and futuristic vehicle.

After a few engine tweaks, the DeLorean was able to pick up speed. However, engines turbine which were built into the car to make it faster were never produced as the company went bankrupt after a while.
