Recently, more and more gadgets for installation in a car began to appear: this is a radar detector, a video recorder, a navigator, a mirror with a built-in rear-view camera. Naturally, all this requires a certain place on your windshield, and you don't even have to talk about a bunch of wires from the cigarette lighter.
Manufacturers noticed that many devices create inconveniences for motorists and began to solve this problem by assembling gadgets into one multifunctional device. In this article, we will provide an overview of such gadgets that combine DVRs with the function of a radar detector and a navigator in one device.
U route q800s
First, we will look at the U route q800s device. It is a screen, in the form of a tablet, on the back of which the camera is located.
It should be noted that this device includes not 3 functions, but 4:
- the DVR;
- antiradar;
- navigator;
- rear view camera (included).
The set with the device includes a power cable, a cable for connecting to a computer, a bracket for attaching to the windshield, a cable for connecting a rear view camera.
The DVR camera of this device is good, the picture is not bad, the only thing it does not write to the internal memory, you need to buy a memory card for recording.
Most cars have a front torpedo at an angle, i.e. decreases towards the passenger compartment. So, if you install the device in such a way that the lower part lies on the torpedo, then perhaps part of the torpedo will interfere with the camera, as well as receive the signal for the anti-radar. In our case, the camera showed up at the last moment, when the car passed next to it. Accordingly, when installing, you need to pay attention to the absence of obstacles from the camera and anti-radar.
Very good navigation function, shows all signs and warns about everything. The surprise was that all the alerts were in Russian, except for the anti-radar. Information about the cameras was voiced in English, which is most likely solved by the firmware of the device.

The device is equipped with a 2,7-inch screen, which has a small side on top to protect it from direct sunlight. Information from the device is displayed on the screen, and is also duplicated by voice messages in Russian. It is operated using mechanical buttons on the side panels.
The device has an HDMI output for outputting images to an external monitor. The miniUSB connector is required to update the firmware with the camera database.

Video filming is made in HD format with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The device is completed with:
- windshield mount;
- case with a strap;
- napkin for the screen;
- USB cable;
- 12V cigarette lighter power adapter.
The device has an internal built-in memory of 3,5 GB, but this memory cannot be used for video from the recorder, only for storing files. To record from the recorder, you need to purchase a memory card.
