The new technology increases strength, reduces the effects of erosion, friction and wear.

Bridgestone has unveiled its latest addition to the high-performance agricultural tire segment, the VX-TRACTOR. This tire meets the needs of consumers for longer wear times by changing the standard in technology and performance to allow them to run longer and carry heavier loads.

Designed for safety, performance and durability

Consumers' desire to feel confident with the VX-TRACTOR is the reason for the inclusion of Bridgestone's patented design. Designers focused on increasing wear periods, especially on the road, resulting in VX-TRACTOR blocks 20% longer and wider than their direct competitors. This increase provides an overall tread depth that is again greater than that of direct competitors. At the same time, the enclosure is designed to minimize internal stress. This allows the tire to work effectively at high speeds when transporting large loads with an internal pressure of up to 2,4 bar.

Built to last longer

The new technology increases strength while reducing the effects of erosion, friction and wear. A quality six-layer tread belt also helps protect the tire from damage and possible punctures. The surface of the page is also reinforced, further reducing the tire's puncture vulnerability. The VX-TRACTOR is made with a completely new technology, which makes it even more resistant to wear and tear than previous models. The innovation consists of replacing mineral oils with environmentally friendly vegetable oils, improving tire life and an important step towards a more sustainable future [1].

Best traction

The VX-TRACTOR uses the same proven Bridgestone blocks as the VT-TRACTOR to provide exceptional traction in all conditions. Tests have shown that the VX-TRACTOR has significantly less slip than its competitors [2], giving users every reason to feel confident in the tire. Whether in the field, on the road, energized, on slippery roads, on asphalt or carrying heavy loads, VX-TRACTOR operates to the highest standards.

Standard quality

The new VX-TRACTOR embodies Bridgestone's commitment to quality, and all available sizes include these innovations as standard technology.

“The new VX-TRACTOR combines Bridgestone's current VT-TRACTOR line for high performance tractors with the VT-COMBINE line for combine harvesters. The base of the VX-TRACTOR uses technology that allows pressures from 0,6 to 2,4 bar, ideal for adapting to any working environment and transporting even the heaviest loads. While the proven, patented block design optimizes traction and reduces slip, the extra block volume provides a longer wear period, which is especially important for tractors used in mixed field and road operations,” said Mark Sanders, CEO. Agriculture”, Bridgestone EMEA.

Designed in Europe, Made in Europe

The VX-TRACTOR was developed by the Bridgestone European R&D Center in Italy and is manufactured at the Bridgestone plant in Puente San Miguel, Spain. The tires will initially be available in twelve different sizes for the front and rear axles ranging from 24 to 42 inches. Additional sizes will complete the range in 2019.
