In short: Jeep Cherokee 2.0 Multijet 16V 170 AWD Limited.

The latest generation Cherokee actually sets new standards with vastly improved ride performance, better handling, better fuel economy and very good all-wheel drive (Jeep Active Drive all-wheel drive, which however did not have differential locks and gearboxes tested. Model). The otherwise more powerful all-wheel drive is available in the most powerful Cherokee Trailhawk SUV. Nevertheless, it can be said that it is a successful combination of modern design and technology, as well as the uncompromising Jeep brand.

In fact, all you have to do is drive it through terrain, and then with a simple push of a button, you can select the right program that will safely navigate obstacles like steep hills with little traction under the wheels. Mud puddles are his playground, and when snow falls somewhere high in the mountains during the winter holidays, Jeep will still be driving, and all-wheel drive make-up SUVs will be stuck long ago. However, it's basically a car that looks like it can do a lot, but in reality only a few drivers really test how the programs work for driving in mud or desert sand, and for snow we think the environment we we live, of course, sooner or later we throw so many problems that every Cherokee will have to prove how to deal with liquid manure or a tick that has just fallen. With its power, fresh and somewhat aggressive appearance and wheel-to-body ratio, it leaves an impression on the road.

With top notch visibility, it sits high with great control over everything in front of the car. Driver space is proportionally proportional, so those who are slightly taller will also sit well. The interior is dominated by soft and high-quality materials, which clearly indicate that a lot of the most modern technologies are hidden in the car. The large color touchscreen displays all the most important functions of the vehicle in high resolution, as well as multimedia content with state-of-the-art navigation and compass. Reversing and side parking are assisted by sensors that warn of all dangers in the area, and we can also commend the performance of the car's lane keeping system - here any intention to change lanes without turning on the turn signals is strongly felt on the steering. wheel. On long trips or in a slow column, we quickly got used to the radar cruise control, which is a real helper for a calm and safe ride.

In terms of consumption, the two-liter turbodiesel is surprisingly modest: with a little caution, the computer will aim for a consumption of less than seven liters per 100 kilometers, and in mixed driving, which also includes random dynamic acceleration, it is just over eight liters. Considering the two-ton weight, this is not a bad result at all. In general, one can highlight the good characteristics of the engine, which, in harmony with the nine-speed transmission, provides a comfortable and, if necessary, dynamic ride, when it frees up 170 "horses" hiding under the hood with a typical jeep mask. Thus, the new Cherokee in an interesting way combines the tradition of which they are rightly proud and the latest technology, which is the fruit of the American-Italian alliance.
