Although the silhouette of this Honda model resembles an SUV, when viewed from the side or rear, we think more of a large station wagon or van than an SUV. The adventure that all-wheel drive can provide is also not to be counted on, as the CR-V's ground clearance is too low to go off-road crazy. But it's definitely a good car when it comes to long family trips. I especially recommend them to sailors and campers. The CR-V allows you to tow a trailer weighing up to 2 tons, allowing you to take a boat or motorhome on vacation, and is equipped with a system that makes driving with a trailer safer.


I have one more icing on the cake for us. Statistics say that the CR-V attracts women the most. Apparently, we are convinced by a lot of roundness and a lot of elegant finishing elements.

Although I always look at the Honda shown today on the street after riding it, I think the secret of success lies elsewhere. An ace in the hole: a reliable, massive silhouette, large wheels and all-wheel drive, which makes driving through muddy streets, ice and sand a breeze. When the front wheels slip, the drive automatically engages the rear wheels as well.


I get behind the wheel. The high seating position in the CR-V provides good visibility and a sense of superiority over other road users. Two-level adjustment of the steering wheel allows even a small woman to feel comfortable. My attention is immediately attracted by a modern clock with a pleasant backlight. All important knobs, switches and buttons can be found without taking your eyes off the road. They are exactly where we expect them to be.


I suspect that the cockpit of this car was probably designed by music lovers. They offered a storage box that can hold up to 24 CDs and has a connector for an MP3 player. A family that loves to listen to music should be delighted. Another feature that sets this Honda's interior apart from other cars is the space-shaped handbrake lever. It looks like it was taken from the cockpit of an airplane. I was also pleased that I found a place for both lipstick and spare pins without any problems. Everything is fine, but every time I looked at the dashboard, I found that the quality of the plastic could be improved.


As befits a Honda CR-V family SUV, it provides a comfortable ride for five adult passengers, but in the case of this car, even those who have a place in the middle of the rear seat will be comfortable. Unlike many other four-wheel drive vehicles, it will have a flat floor underfoot rather than a bulging tunnel. From the point of view of a couple with children, an important advantage of this model will be the possibility of attaching ISOFIX child seats to each seat. In addition, the seat backs fold independently and can be tilted. The entire bench seat can also be moved forward by 15 cm at any time, thereby increasing the space in the luggage compartment. I checked that then two bicycles, a folding tent and three large backpacks would easily fit in it. The cargo compartment of the CR-V is at least 556 liters.


After a few days of traveling together, I can assure you that the Honda CR-V also handles very well on the road. The driver practically does not feel its dimensions. Drives like a car. It is stable at high speeds. Moreover, thanks to numerous systems that are almost exhausting in work and thinking, one can feel like taking a driving course with an instructor. The indicator on the watch will tell you which gear to select.

The stability control system will help us when cornering, accelerating or overtaking. Front and rear parking sensors, like faithful angels, follow the body when maneuvering in a tight parking lot or garage. The acoustic signal increases in frequency as it approaches an obstacle, and the on-board display shows which part of the vehicle is in "danger".


The heart of the tested version of the Honda CR-V was the 2.2 i-DTEC diesel engine. Worth choosing. This motor is very quiet, lively and economical. In my hands, he was able to get 8 liters of diesel fuel in the city. Gentle handling of the accelerator pedal on the highway leads to fuel consumption of 7 liters. This is a very good result for cars of this class. It's a pity that in order to own a Honda CR-V, I would have had to build 140 first. zloty.
