La NEPH request results in 12-digit number assignment corresponding to specific elements:
- The first pair of numbers represents the year in which the candidate was registered;

Documents Required to Provide to Obtain a NEPH Code

Additional documents are requested depending on the situation
Several additional documents may be required depending on the applicant's situation. A candidate for a driver's license who does not have French citizenship must attach to the required documents: proof of their stay in France for at least 6 months or a valid residence permit... For example, it could be a payroll or a rental receipt.
An applicant for French citizenship who is between 17 and 25 years old must be provided in support of his request: a copy of his certificate of participation in the Day of Defense and Citizenship (Joint). This document may be replaced by a preliminary certificate of call to the Joint or a certificate of exemption from participation on the specified date.
A person born later than December 31, 1987 must provide, in addition to the mandatory documents mentioned above, copy of school road safety certificate 2rd Level, or a sworn statement confirming the receipt of this certificate.
