A completely new model has appeared in the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand configurator. This is the New Multivan, the world premiere of which took place in June this year.
The new Multivan is a completely new vehicle in the Volkswagen commercial vehicle range. Designed with different target groups in mind, whether families, sports enthusiasts or business travelers, this multifunctional vehicle features a range of innovative, well-thought-out interior features, such as seven seats with a quick-release seat system that allows you to increase the luggage compartment, or optional, multifunctional folding center table.
The new Multivan is fitted for the first time to a Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) license plate. An innovation pioneered by the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand is the inclusion of a plug-in hybrid drive in the range of available powertrains. This allows the new Multivan to temporarily function as a zero emission vehicle.

In the configurator, you can order a car in one of four configuration versions: Multivan, Life, Style and Energetic. Customers can also choose from a wide range of optional equipment, including: Panoramic glass moonroof (standard on Energetic version), power tailgate opening and closing (standard on Energetic version), parking heater, side door sliding windows, retractable center multifunction a table with cup holders (standard for the Energetic version), a data display on the glass right in front of the driver's eyes - a head-up display or a folding towbar with electric release.
Volkswagen Multivan. First Multivan with plug-in hybrid drive
One of the most important fixed parameters in the New Multivan design specification was the plug-in hybrid drive. The Multivan plug-in hybrid has the eHybrid suffix in its name. The output of the electric motor system and the turbocharged petrol engine (TSI) is 160 kW/218 hp.
Thanks to its 13 kWh lithium-ion battery, the New Multivan eHybrid most often covers daytime distances using only electricity. A study by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure shows that 95% of all daily road trips in Germany are under 50 km. The plug-in hybrid powertrain is designed so that the new Multivan eHybrid starts in pure electric mode by default, allowing for particularly short trips without any carbon emissions. The economical TSI petrol engine only starts at speeds above 130 km/h.
Volkswagen Multivan. Three four-cylinder engines - 2 petrol and one diesel
Paired with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, the front-wheel-drive Multivan will be available with two 100kW/136hp four-cylinder turbo engines. and 150 kW/204 hp A four-cylinder TDI diesel engine with 110 kW/150 hp will be available next year.
Prices for the model start at PLN 191 (engine 031 TSI 1.5 hp + 136-speed DSG).
