Volkswagen Passat GT concept with 280 horsepower
As you know, due to the scandal with diesel engines, the demand for Volkswagen cars in the American market is in decline. The German automaker hopes to regain lost ground by developing new models. And one of them will be the VW Passat GT.
The concept version is powered by a 3,6-liter VR6 engine under the hood, which produces a solid 280 hp, paired with lightning-fast shifts from a six-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission.
Visually, the GT inherits the best shape of the GTI. Modified front bumper, which also received a new protective grille. New 19-inch Tornado wheels fill out the wheel arches, lower the car by 0,6 inches and get stylish red-painted brake calipers.
For now, Volkswagen claims it's just a concept, but admits it has "production capability". It is possible that if the officially sold car is very similar to the concept, then it will undoubtedly be a success in sales.
