Through Wolfsburg AG, a joint venture between the city of Wolfsburg and Volkswagen, the German brand is participating in a startup project called Tretbox to develop an electric scooter for delivering parcels.
This e-scooter project is part of the Volkswagen hatchery in Dresden, which meets the legal requirements for electric bicycles with speeds limited to 25 km / h.
The production of the first machines is scheduled for 2019.
