1967 Camaro Z/28

The next generation of cars in this review was the Z / 28. Over time, the manufacturer made some changes to the chassis of the car, as well as equipped with more powerful engines. Thanks to this, for several generations the retromobile retained its freshness and corresponded to the needs of the market.

Compared to the previous version, the car received more sensitive handling. Technical changes also affected the power unit. This time, the equipment included a loud and unstable V-shape of an eight-cylinder engine at that time. The five-liter unit developed 290 horsepower.

The maximum speed that the car was capable of was 197 km / h. But thanks to the gluttony, the Chevrolet took the milestone of one hundred kilometers / hour 8,1 seconds.

1968 Camaro Z / 28 Convertible

As can be seen in the photo, the next version of the first generation Camaro was different from the previous body type. Initially, the model was created as a personal car for Pete Estes, director of the Chevrolet department of General Motors.

The car was assembled by hand. The company management signed a permit for mass production. However, public cars were not equipped with disc brakes on all wheels. They did not have an air intake on the hood.

1969 Camaro ZL1

The latest model of the first generation Camaro was created for competition on rally tracks. The power of the power unit was higher compared to previous counterparts. For this, the manufacturer installed a V-8 engine under the hood of the car. Its volume was an incredible seven liters. Due to the high cost, the model did not receive a large batch.

2010 Camaro SS
