Meet: the lowest resistance production car

A little over ten years ago, or more precisely in 2009, the fifth generation of the Mercedes E-Class Coupé hit the market, setting an absolute record for drag with a really astonishingly low coefficient of just 0,24 Cx.

Over the past decade, this value has been reached or exceeded by many models, electric and conventional combustion engines, and is now something of a standard. Now, however, the electric model Lucid Air, which was announced in 2016 and will be officially shown on September 9, has hit everyone on earth with a new record - Cx 0,21.

The electric sedan, which has already been officially shown, is recognized as the "regular" car with the best aerodynamics in the world. Some supercars have a better drag coefficient, but none of the models in this category can match this parameter. For example, the number 1 in this regard among Tesla vehicles, the Model 3, boasts only 0,23 Cx.

Since resistance is paramount for electric vehicles, the experience of the Chinese company Lucid Motors, founded by two Chinese, allows it to drive 650 km without recharging and reach a speed of 378 km / h.
