The Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 Concept demonstrated that a battery-electric powertrain is a vehicle that demonstrates the Jeep brand's commitment to the freedom of zero emissions.

This all-electric vehicle concept demonstrates that the brand is capable of producing SUVs with their inherent quality. The Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 is reinforced, literally capable of handling any terrain and taking you far off the beaten track.

Jeep has unveiled the highlights of the Magneto 2.0 powertrain, including:

– Custom made axial motor running up to 5,250 rpm.

– Six-speed manual transmission for maximum powertrain control.

– Four lithium-ion battery packs distributed over the chassis for weight balancing, with a total capacity of 70 kWh, powered by an 800-volt system.

– An inverter inspired by racing cars converts DC power into AC power for a high-tech motor.

The Magneto 2.0 has a maximum drivetrain current that has more than doubled to 600 amps, allowing for instant torque up to 850 lb-ft and 625 horsepower (hp) for some serious rock testing.

When the engine is paired with a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Rock-Trac transfer case, the Magneto 2.0 demonstrates rock-crawling ability with instant torque on demand. 

To transfer all this torque to the ground, some hardware upgrade is required.

The Magneto 2.0 has 12 inches added to the wheelbase of the Wrangler's two-door body and gives it similar proportions to the 2004-06 Wrangler Unlimited LJ. In addition, there is a special 3-inch lift kit and 40-inch off-road tires mounted on 20-inch wheels.

Custom lightweight Magneto 2.0 bumpers replace the factory front and rear bumpers. It also shows wider fenders made from carbon fiber front and rear that cover the wide tires without adding much weight. 

Magneto 2.0 Surf Blue paintwork, a custom bikini top and carbon fiber hood give the Jeep a powerful look. It has a blue-tinted clear window on its hood that provides a view of the powertrain below.
