The ZS is Australia's best-selling compact SUV, but it's gotten more expensive.
MG Australia has just raised prices on several variants of the 2021 MG3 light hatchback, ZS/ZST small SUV and HS medium SUV.
In this case, the MG3 costs $500 more, with the entry-level Core now costing $18,490 per ride, while the mid-range Core with Nav and flagship Excite have risen to $18,990 and $19,990 respectively.
The entry-level ZS Excite jumped $500 to $22,490. The next ZST Core is unchanged and costs $25,990, while ZST Vibe, ZST Excite, and ZST Essence are also up $500 to $27,490, $30,490, and $33,490, respectively. The ZS EV is still asking for $44,990 XNUMX.
With the exception of the flagship Plus EV Essence, which went up $1000 ($48,990), the HS line (see full pricing table below) managed to avoid this round of price adjustments.
Speaking to Cars Guide, a spokesman for MG Australia confirmed that no relevant changes were made to the standard equipment of competitors Kia Rio, Mitsubishi ASX, Hyundai Kona and Toyota RAV4 as the price change was caused by external factors.
“Due to the unprecedented rise in the cost of raw materials and transport logistics in 2021, MG Motor will review its national exit prices from February 1, 2022,” they said.
“Adjustments ranging from $500 to $1000 will be made to a number of vehicles built in 2021, and vehicles built in 2022 will be adjusted by $1000 to $2000. Stocks built in 2022 will arrive from April 2022.”
