What winter tires to choose for Largus

Winter tires for Lada Largus

I want to share my thoughts and experience in preparing my Largus for our harsh winter conditions. Since the cold in our region and the blizzards are quite strong, I decided that I would take studded winter tires, not Velcro.

Although you have to drive around the city more often than on the highway, the studs will be clearly more effective. And that often happens, while snowstorms are sweeping at night, by morning all the roads are littered with snow and they do not always have time to clean them. And quite often, along the streets of the city, there are icy areas, where Velcro does not always cope with this test.

So, having decided on the choice in favor of iron studding, I first went online and read reviews about winter tires from different manufacturers. Probably reviewed about 30 different models, ranging from our Kama manufacturers to the Finnish Nokian Hakkapelitta tires.

Before that, of course, I had my own experience of past cars, I often drove our Kama with spikes, in principle I was fine, but you can't feel confident on a slippery road, you need to keep the distance in the stream as much as possible, since there are simply no braking properties on the ice, but here's what As for cross-country ability, there have never been any problems.

So, after reading the reviews, I went to the car market to look for suitable tires for my Lada Largus. Of course, I really wanted to take the most trump Nokian, but the price tag for it is already quite high, so I had to slightly reduce my appetite. For a long time I chose and remembered more reviews about Michelin X-ice, and it was decided to take it.

Having slightly reduced the price, I took a set of these winter tires, and drove home happy. There is no doubt about the quality of this rubber, many owners have been driving it for years, and several of my friends too. The permeability is excellent, and what is most important for me is excellent braking properties on snow and ice, confident acceleration with almost no slipping, it remains soft in the cold - also a big plus, well, the quality of studding is at a height.

As soon as the first snow covers the road and winter falls on the city, I will test it and here I will express all my impressions, then I will certainly be able to confirm or deny all of the above with confidence.
