Bridgestone Road Show in Krakow – Summary

Half with too low pressure, most for immediate replacement, and a dozen, despite the middle of May, on winter tires. These are the results of a tire inspection carried out by Bridgestone experts in Krakow.

The Bridgestone Road Show, held last weekend in front of the M1 shopping center in Krakow, is a cyclical event organized by one of the largest tire companies in the world in several cities in Poland. The purpose of the events is to promote safe driving among Polish drivers, with particular emphasis on the correct use of tires for each vehicle.

Bridgestone Road Show 2011

Every driver who visits Bridgestone can check the condition of their car's tires. As the statistics of the Krakow edition of the test show, the awareness of Polish drivers in this regard leaves much to be desired. Over the weekend, Bridgestone engineers checked 243 vehicles, or nearly 1000 tires.

– In 44 percent of the tires tested, the pressure level was too low, 263 tires installed on the test vehicles had to be replaced due to insufficient tread, and as many as 50 of them were in an unacceptable condition for further operation, i.e. with a tread depth of less than 1,6mm,” says Dorota Zdebska, Trade Marketing Specialist at Bridgestone.

At the same time, among the tested cars, winter tires were installed by as much as 12%! In this way, experts have convinced drivers of how important the condition of their tires is to the safety of their families.

This weekend the Bridgestone Road Show will take place in Zabrze. On May 20-22, in front of the M1 shopping center on the street. Plutonovs R. Shkubach 1.
