The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are the first vehicles with an integrated Fire TV.

With Fire TV, owners will even have the option to pause the program at home and continue watching in their car.

Jeep will debut its Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models on March 11. In them Amazon Fire TV will make its debut being the first vehicles in the automotive industry with this system.

Amazon Fire TV will provide passengers with access to its entertainment shows like movies, apps, and features like Alexa.

"The all-new 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are designed and built to set a new standard for America's premium large SUV segment,"

“The vehicle as the industry’s first technology for the Wagoneer line exemplifies one of the many ways we are committed to delivering best-in-class technology and connectivity to our customers,” he added.

Fire TV will connect to the system uconnect 5 to expand the Alexa Auto feature in the vehicle so all passengers are entertained and the driver stays focused while driving.

The automaker explains that for the system to work, the owner must use an existing Amazon account to enjoy all the apps and features the system offers.

Stellantis says in the release that the new Fire TV for Auto offers unique features including:

– Passengers can watch Fire TV in high definition from the rear seats and from the front passenger screen (privacy filter disables driver view). When the car is parked, the driver can also watch Fire TV on the main screen of Uconnect 5.

– Touch screen controls and compatibility with compatible content can be downloaded when traveling where wireless connectivity is limited or to save data.

– A dedicated Fire TV Remote for Car provides control of the experience and includes access press to speak to Alexa, making it easy to quickly find and play shows.

– There is a button on the remote that connects the Fire TV to the new Uconnect 5 system to control vehicle functions such as weather, maps and more.

Without a doubt, this new system will revolutionize the functionality of the Jeep infotainment system, and no doubt more manufacturers will seek to integrate this or similar systems after them.

With Fire TV, owners will even have the option to pause a program at home and continue watching it inside their vehicle.

“We reimagined Fire TV for the car with a purpose-built experience that delivers the best in entertainment, wherever you go,” Sandeep Gupta, vice president and general manager of Amazon Fire TV, said in the release. “With Fire TV built in, customers can stream their favorite shows, see if they left the lights on at home with Alexa, and take advantage of unique controls through the Uconnect system.”
