Crunch when shifting gears on a VAZ 2112

Even as soon as I bought my new car VAZ 2112, or rather not my new one, she was only 2 years old, I immediately noticed that when shifting gears, a rather strong crunch appeared. And the box crunches the most when you switch from first to second gear. At first, I did not pay attention to this, I tried not to switch abruptly, but slowly, after waiting a little, until they slowed down. But then other speeds began to crackle, and every day it gets stronger and stronger. I got tired of all this, went to a car service, since I have never encountered a checkpoint for 2112, especially since before this car I basically had a “classic” VAZ 2101, 2103 and 2105. And here in the “dvenashka” everything is more complicated a little, and the engine is no longer an eight-valve, but a 8-horsepower 92-valve engine.

So, back to our problem with the gearbox. So I went to the service station, so they looked and immediately said that in any case it was necessary to completely remove the gearbox and disassemble it all in order to replace the synchronizers. Since it is because of the wear of the synchronizers, as they explained to me at the service station, the gears crunch. Well to do, so to do, gave the go-ahead to remove the box and do everything as it should be. I left the car in the box of the car service, and went home myself, as the repair would be over in a couple of days, as the foremen told me. Two days pass, I come to this service, and I see that there is a mountain of spare parts in the car. I ask the masters what these parts are. And they tell me that they had to replace the clutch discs, clutch, release bearing and clutch cable, in short, they replaced almost the entire transmission there without my knowledge. And instead of 4000 rubles for repairs, I had to pay as much as 9000 for all these parts. Of course, it was not without a scandal, but there was nowhere to go, I had to pick up the car, not leave it for a few more days, otherwise they would disassemble everything for parts and make them pay.

As for the repair itself, in fact there was no more crunch when shifting gears, you can see immediately that the synchronizers were replaced, but the release bearing buzzed immediately on the second day, although the old one did not even give a hint of it. So, not only did they take money for this bearing and for its replacement, they also supplied a defective or old one. And since then I have decided that I haven’t gotten into this service anymore, not only did I give twice as much money for repairs, but also used spare parts were installed instead of new ones.
