Jaguar E-Pace. More and more good electricians!

Gone are the days when only Tesla and Nissan made full-fledged electric vehicles. We now have cars like the Jaguar I-Pace - an "electric" that is also one of Jaguar's best cars.

When will we know I-Pacewe don't doubt it jaguar. As Jaguar, however, has a strangely short mask. The body of the car itself does not look like ... actually nothing. What is it, SUV, coupe, limousine?

This, ladies and gentlemen, is an electric vehicle designed by Jaguar as such, from A to Z. And an electric car is not as limited in form as a car with an internal combustion engine - and this model perfectly demonstrates this.

This mask is not only short, but also very low. This provides better visibility, but also makes it clear that in Jaguar E-Pace better use of body space and more space for passengers.

And it's not a small car. Body length 4,68 m, width more than 2 m. Wheelbase 2,99 m. And in the trunk as much as 656 liters.

Looks great in my opinion. Photos do not fully reflect how dynamic and diverse it looks on the roads. I-Pace.

Jaguar I-Pace - what does "electric green" mean?

In that Jaguar I-Pace was created as an electrician, it's not just about appearance. Also, the location of the batteries is almost under the entire floor. Regardless, the trunk is still that big.

And there are quite a lot of batteries here, because their total capacity is 90 kWh. Thanks to body aerodynamics, such as the bonnet outlet, the range is 480 km. And it does I-Pace a worthy rival for Tesla.

In addition to the standard rear rack, we also have a front rack. This one, however, will serve more as an “organizer”, because it mainly houses cables. In any case, this is a very practical solution.

jaguar I-Pace it boasts a total output of 400 hp. - 200 hp each on the axle. The maximum torque is 700 Nm. And it is thanks to this that the I-Pace accelerates to 100 km / h in just 4,8 seconds.

However, we will get to how the I-Pace rides. Let's take a look inside first.

I-Pace - so, to the Jaguar

For example, how the Range Rover Velar. Jaguar E-Pace no pens. They slide out when you touch a corrugated place - a gadget, but all fans of science fiction will be pleased.

Inside, they will meet a typical Jaguar. The driving position is slightly higher, but very sporty. We feel like we're still sitting relatively low, we can move the seat quite far and bring the steering wheel closer.

As for the finish, it's probably not even typical. jaguar. All jaguar it's well made, but this one is no different from a Mercedes or an Audi. The materials and their fit are just exemplary.

The console was designed quite specifically. We have two touch screens with a clear separation of functions. The top one is a typical infotainment system - it has navigation, internet, music, phone, and so on. The lower one is used to control vehicle functions. Here we set the temperature, driving mode, heating and ventilation of the seats. I-Pace also got these multifunctional pens with screens inside.

In the back, as in the front, we also can't complain about the amount of space. We cannot complain about the number of USB connectors - including Jaguar E-Pace we may even have eight of them.

I just don't like some things here. Central tunnel at the back - what is he doing there? The lower part of the dashboard sometimes sticks to the knee of a taller driver (1,86m). And the image from the rear view camera is not very visible, it is small.

We need electric ones like the Jaguar I-Pace.

Those more avid motorists say that the car must have an internal combustion engine, otherwise it's just a drill. And the workouts are not very fun. However, those who are more open to the new are crazy about electric vehicles.

I think you need to drive the right electric car to understand that there is room for this drive, and driving can be just as fun.

Trip Jaguarem E-Pace it's just different. Acceleration at the level of a BMW M2 or Golf R presses on the seat, but we don’t feel the gear changes, let alone hear the engine. The low center of gravity ensures sufficient cornering stability. However, it is felt that the Jaguar is a heavy cat - it weighs as much as 2220 kg.

The suspension has clearly been tuned to hide this mass as best as possible. It is quite rigid, especially since it is pneumatic. The steering is nicely straight forward and while it doesn't give too much information, we can easily hear all the tire screeching - after all, we don't hear anything here 😉

However, let's not forget that electric vehicles transmit power in a completely different way. A separate motor can stand next to each of the wheels, and synchronizing them with each other is very simple - just do it programmatically.

In addition, the electric motors themselves are quite light, they do not have many moving parts, which means that the inertia of such a system is much less. This results in very good traction. Jaguar and Pace. It just speeds up when you hit the gas all the way. Even when conditions are not ideal. The traction control system is able to control the torque at each wheel so often that these limits are shifted quite far.

Jaguar I-Pace it can consume about 15 kWh/100 km, but in the city it will more often be about 10 kWh/100 km more. This still means that the fare for 100 km in the city is PLN 13,75. As many as 3-4 tickets for public transport in Krakow.

Such consumption and range allow the Jaguar to be charged only once a week. The built-in charger allows you to charge I-Pace up to 80% in one night (10 hours) from a regular outlet, but if you have access to a DC and 100kW, 40 minutes is enough.

More and more interesting electricians!

Electric cars are still a novelty, and so still very successful designs like the Kona Electric are mixed in with the likes of the Audi e-tron, which operate mostly on short city distances.

Jaguar I-Pace definitely one of the best representatives of electric vehicles. It's fast, well made, rides well, has a big trunk, some bells and whistles - everything a premium buyer can expect from it.

Or maybe that's why, completely blind, before the premiere I-Pace as many as 55 people ordered in Poland. Although the base costs 354 thousand. PLN, and in the First Edition version up to 460 thousand. zloty.
