Busy schedules, lack of time, and city roads during rush hour are a nightmare for most car users. Moving from one end of the city to another, even the most level-headed person can lead to white fever. However, there is a way. Introduced in 2014, regulations allowing category B driver's licenses to drive two-wheelers up to 125cc. see, are the cure for this world disease of that time. Yamaha NMAX available on the Polish market since 2015, and although its appearance has not changed much since then, it still looks modern and at the same time not without a sporty aggressive character. We currently have a choice of three color options: White, Blue and Matte Grey. Here it is worth mentioning the really high-class performance of the scooter, and above all the quality and fit of individual elements. I think that more than one passenger car can envy him.
A very big advantage worth mentioning is also the ability to stretch your legs while driving, which allows you to get a really comfortable position behind the wheel. The vast majority of scooters don't have that much legroom. In addition, the seat is relatively soft, which makes the ride pleasant not only in the city, but also on long journeys.
Continuing the theme of sitting Yamaha NMAX - under it is a fairly roomy compartment, which can easily fit one helmet, as well as a bag and a set of tools.
In addition, there are two deep shelves in the front of the bike, but without any fasteners, which, unfortunately, is a minus. It also lacks a 12V socket, which is present in competitors, namely the Honda PCX.
On the screen Yamaha NMAX, which is completely digital, we can find information about speed and fuel level, as well as data on mileage or current and average fuel consumption. Working with the watch is simple and intuitive and should not cause any major problems for anyone.
Deciding to buy Yamaha NMAX, we will also get LED high and low beam. Unfortunately, the direction indicators, as well as the front and rear position lights, are equipped with traditional bulbs. What a pity.
Relatively small dimensions to NMAX (width 740 mm and weight 127 kg), easy handling and compact body make it very efficient to move it through crowded streets. Maneuvering between cars in traffic is easy and intuitive. In addition, a big plus for a really large turning radius, thanks to which we can turn it very efficiently. True, the dimensions and weight of the scooter make it very sensitive to stronger gusts of wind, but I think this can be forgiven.
selection Yamaha NMAX, in the configuration we get a 12,2 horsepower engine that drives the scooter very efficiently. The response to gas is relatively fast, allowing us to move quickly out of the light. In addition, the result of fuel consumption also deserves a plus, since during the test it did not exceed 2,5 l / 100 km. In addition, the speed of 100 km/h, which can be easily reached on the highway, means that we do not become a threat to other road users in much faster vehicles. Of course, we must take into account that driving at such a speed requires a lot of concentration from us and is not very comfortable. So soon we will want to return to the city with aching buttocks, which will be blamed on us after a long trip on the road. All because of the rather narrow seat.
Great advantage Yamaha NMAX that is its price. Yamaha has priced this little one around PLN 12 and while the price may seem high for a small scooter, remember that this is a premium brand. When we look at the price from this point of view, it turns out that compared to, for example, the Honda PCX, whose price is about PLN 000, Nmax this is the real deal.
So how to generalize this smallest model Yamaha 125 cc.? I will not hide that I have always been a fan of the larger XMAX, which attracts me with its incredible comfort and handling. Nmax however, he has another ace up his sleeve, which he has already presented in the first kilometers of the journey. The agility and ease of movement around the city of XMAX can only be envied, and a very worthy dynamics suggests that a truly great spirit lives in this small body.
