Do-it-yourself ABS sensor replacement for Ford Focus 2 - step by step instructions

1. The first thing we have to do is lift the side we are going to work on and remove the wheel.

2. After that, it is necessary to unscrew the fixing bolt and disconnect the power supply unit from the sensor.

3. Next, we generously process the sensor with a penetrating liquid "WD-40".

4. With improvised means (for example, a screwdriver), it is necessary to press on the sensor from the back side, pushing it out of the socket. It should be understood that the sensor housing is plastic, so do not apply excessive force.

5. If the sensor does not give in, you need to remove the cuff together with the sleeve.

6. We take a bolt with a nut, which I mentioned above, and try to pull the sensor out of its seat. In this case, it will be extremely difficult to maintain the integrity of the sensor.

7. After the sensor has left the seat, it is necessary to clean the seat and prepare it for installing a new sensor.

8. Before installing a new ABS sensor on the Ford Focus 2, I recommend lubricating the seat with graphite grease, this will make your life easier in the future ...

9. The new sensor is installed in the same way, in reverse order.

10. After completing all the work, do not forget to connect the power supply of the sensor, as well as reset the error, for this it is enough to remove the “-” terminal for a couple of minutes.
