Throttle position sensor, or more simply - TPRDZ is designed to control the supply of fuel to the injectors depending on the position of the damper. If it fails or some malfunctions, problems with idling are possible, which can lead to failures during movement and unstable engine operation.
To solve this problem with the VAZ 2114, it is necessary to replace this sensor with a new one. To complete this simple repair, we need the following tool:
- A pair of screwdrivers: short and regular with a cruciform blade
- Magnetic handle

The process is shown along with the instructions for replacing the IAC, as the procedures are very similar.

First you need to disconnect the “-” terminal from the battery to turn off the power to the car. After that, it is necessary to find our sensor on the throttle assembly and disconnect the plug from it, having previously pressed the plastic retainer:
The final result is shown in the photo below.
After that, you need to unscrew the two screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
And now you can take out the sensor, since nothing else holds it. This should be done carefully, slightly, perhaps by turning the TPS body so that it can be removed without problems.
Before installing, be sure to check the integrity of the foam pad, as well as the marking when purchasing a new sensor. It should be the same as on the old part.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order and will not present any special problems.
The price of a new DPDZ for a VAZ 2114 is about 350-500 rubles, depending on the manufacturer of this spare part.
