Replacing a door on a VAZ 2114 and 2115

Very often, even with sufficiently serious damage to body parts, they are simply repaired, thereby saving a lot of money when restoring a car after an accident. But there are such damages in which the only correct solution to the problem would be a complete replacement of parts.

This article will consider the procedure for replacing doors on VAZ 2114 and 2115 cars. To perform this repair, you will need a tool such as:

8 and 13 mm head
Ratchet or crank

Removing and installing doors on VAZ 2114 and 2115

So, before proceeding with the withdrawal, you need to prepare for this, namely:

remove the door trim
remove glass
remove the window regulator
disconnect the power wires from the power window (if any) and the lock activators

This is the state the door should be in before removal.

At the end of the door there is a special hole through which a section of electrical wiring passes. So, you need to remove the protective cover, as shown in the photo below.

And pull out the wires through this hole:

Now, using a key for 8, or rather, a head and a knob, we unscrew the two bolts securing the door travel limiter.

Then we rip off the bolts securing the door itself to the body of the VAZ 2114 and 2115. One bolt is on top, and the second is on the bottom.

While unscrewing the second bolt, it is necessary to hold the door so that it does not fall. You can do this alone, since a bare door is not that heavy. We remove it and set it aside.
