Replacing the carburetor with your own hands on 2107

The need to replace the carburetor with a VAZ 2107 rather rarely arises, but nevertheless, if you need instructions for performing this type of repair, below I will tell you in more detail about the progress of the work. So, first of all, all the necessary tools should be at hand, namely:

  1. Open-end wrench 13
  2. Head for 8 and 10
  3. Ratchet handle
  4. crosshead screwdriver

First of all, we need to remove the air filter along with the case. To do this, unscrew the upper cover fastening nuts. Then, with a head of 8, unscrew 4 nuts for securing the case, as shown in the picture below:

Then we remove the body and get access to the carburetor, having previously disconnected the hoses and pipes:

Now we take a Phillips screwdriver and use it to unscrew the bolts of the clamps that clamp the fuel hoses:

This also applies to the thin hose that comes from the distributor:

Next, we take off the plug from the valve, which is clearly shown in the photo below:

We also disconnect the damper drive rod:

Now we take a key for 13, it is very convenient to use a ratchet wrench, and unscrew the 4 nuts securing the VAZ 2107 carburetor to the intake manifold housing:

After that, you can easily remove the carburetor by simply gently lifting it up with your hands:

As you can see, the replacement process is pretty simple and doesn't take a lot of time. Installation of the carburetor is also simple, and it is carried out in the reverse order. If you decide to change a part, then its replacement can cost you from 2500 to 4000 rubles, depending on the model and manufacturer.
