Replacing the ignition coil on the Priora 16 valves

Since most Lada Priora cars are equipped with 16-valve engines, in this article we will consider replacing the ignition coil using the example of such engines. [colorbl style=”blue-bl”]On vehicles with 16-cl. power units for each cylinder is installed its own separate ignition coil, which to some extent increases the reliability and fault tolerance of the engine.[/colorbl]
To get to the parts we need, you need to open the hood and remove the plastic cover from the top.
Necessary tool for disassembling coils
Here we need a minimum of devices, namely:
- Socket head 10 mm
- Ratchet or crank
- Small extension cord
The process of removing and installing a new ignition coil
As you can see, a block with power wires is connected to each. Accordingly, the first step is to pull off the plug by first pressing the latch.
Now you can unscrew the coil mounting bolt, as shown in the photo below:
Then, with a slight movement of the hand, we take it out of the well:
If necessary, we replace it and insert a new part in the reverse order.
