Replacing the ignition coil on a VAZ 2107

The ignition coil on the classic is a fairly reliable thing and very rarely needs to be replaced, but sometimes there are unpleasant moments when it needs to be changed. And if this has come for you and your VAZ 2107, then the instructions below will help you do everything right and without unnecessary problems.

It is worth noting that this procedure is quite simple and requires a minimum of a tool, the list of which I will give below:

• Ratchet handle or crank
• Socket heads for 8 and 10

First, disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Then we disconnect the high-voltage wire from the central terminal of the coil by simply pulling it up with a certain effort.

Then we take the head at 8 and unscrew the wiring fastening nuts, which are connected to the contacts from above, as clearly shown in the photo below:

Now you can proceed to the fastening of the coil itself, and on the sides of it, unscrew the two nuts with which it is attached to the body:

And then you can easily remove the ignition coil, since nothing else holds it:

Installation is carried out in the reverse order and be sure to ensure that the power wires are connected correctly, otherwise you may simply not start the car. The price of a new ignition coil for a VAZ 2101-2107 is about 400 rubles.
