Replacing the trunk lid on a VAZ 2101

The trunk lid on a VAZ 2101 car and similar “classic” models is removed very simply. To perform this procedure, you will need a 10 wrench, although it is desirable to use a ratchet handle and head.

So, first of all, we open the trunk and the lid fasteners are visible from the inside. The photo below shows roughly their location:

Then we take a ratchet and unscrew two bolts on each side of the awnings:

After the bolts are almost unscrewed, it is necessary to hold the cover and finally remove it:

The final result of the work is shown in the photo below:

We buy a new cover for about 900 rubles and install everything in the reverse order.
