Replacing light bulbs on Nissan Qashqai

Any driver should know how to change the headlights on their car. Rear optics

First, consider the taillights of the Nissan Qashqai. From the tools you need to take a key for 10 and a pair of screwdrivers - slotted and Phillips. The lamp socket complies with the P21W standard. • Turn off the car, remove the negative battery terminal.

• Open the trunk, check out the headlights. Next to the device, in a small recess, you can see a pair of bolts that fix the block. The bolts need to be loosened.

• Separate the inner fasteners.

• Carefully remove the optical element.

• Press down on the tabs holding the bulbs.

• Install new lamps, assemble by repeating the sequence of steps in reverse order.

Sometimes in the process of removing the headlight can be difficult. They are connected by their design, the plastic body is reinforced with a pair of metal pins, due to which the fixation force is achieved. Sometimes it is possible to disassemble the part only by first removing the trim that adorns the trunk.

Fog optics

First of all, the fenders protecting the power plant are removed. The second step is to detach the box that houses the optics cables. After that, the mounting bolts are dismantled, the headlight is disconnected. The last steps are replacing the bulbs and reassembling in reverse order. For fog lights, you need to buy H11 and H8 bulbs.

Running optics

The headlights use 7W H55 bulbs. The main advantage of this solution is that they do not need to be fixed with a special bracket, unlike their counterparts in the H4 format, for fixing they simply turn in the grooves by a quarter of a turn. This simplifies the replacement process and speeds it up. Light bulbs are better to choose cheap and branded Chinese elements, which sometimes do not correspond to the declared characteristics, are of little use, and do not provide sufficient luminous flux. Philips, Bosch, Osram are good solutions, reliable and proven by many Nissan Qashqai owners. In general optics, W5W bulbs are used, similar elements illuminate the license plate.

Headlights are repaired without problems:

• The vehicle is de-energized.
• If you plan to repair the left headlight, then you will first need to dismantle the air duct and pipes from the air filter, only this will help ensure free access.

• Removing the air intake. It is quite simple to do this - a couple of plugs are simply pulled out with a screwdriver.
• The air intake is carefully raised.
• Gently stick your hand into the slot under the air intake, find the rubber plug that covers the optics. Remove it, no additional effort is required for this.
• Unscrew the lamp and its holder by turning it counterclockwise.

• Disconnect the fasteners, remove the old lamp and install a new element.

• Assemble in reverse order. Make sure that the rubber plug is tightened tightly enough, otherwise there is a high risk of condensate getting inside, oxidation of the contacts and failure of the entire assembly.
• Return the air intake to its original location.

It turns out that there is nothing difficult in replacing optics. The main thing is to know how to turn off the lights in order to ensure the complete safety of the process. As we have already indicated, for this, the negative terminal of the battery is simply pulled out.
