Replacing the fuel pump module assembly for VAZ 2114 and 2115
It is extremely rare to replace a gas pump on VAZ 2113, 2114 and 2115 cars, and this happens for the following reasons:
- refusal of the fuel pump itself
- breakage of the part body - damage to fittings or contacts
- low pressure in the fuel system
In order to replace a gas pump with a VAZ 2114 and 2115, you will need the following tool:
- 10 mm head
- Extension
- Ratchet or crank
- Phillips screwdriver
How to remove the fuel pump module assembly
On all front-wheel drive VAZ vehicles, the fuel pump is located in the gas tank. You can get to it as follows. We raise the lower part of the rear row of seats, and under it we find a special hatch. Under it is the gas pump, and it all looks like this, after unscrewing and removing the hatch:
It should be noted right away that in this case an example of repair is shown on a 1,6-liter engine. On a car with 1,5 - the fuel pump device is slightly different - the tubes are metal and are fixed on the thread.
- First of all, we lift the latch of the pad retainer and disconnect it from the module cover.
2. Then it is necessary to disconnect the fuel hoses. To do this, turn them a little so that the buttons can be pressed on both sides.
3. And simultaneously with pressing these locking buttons, pull the hose to the side in order to pull it off the fitting.
4. Perform the same procedure with the second hose.
5. Before starting to unscrew the pump mounting nuts, it is advisable to first remove dust and dirt in the immediate vicinity of the clamping ring. After that, we already unscrew all the fastening nuts:
6. When this is done, you can remove the metal ring as shown in the photo below.
7. Then, using a screwdriver or with the effort of hands, we pry the sealing gum, which is planted on the fuel pump mounting studs.
8. Now you can remove the entire module assembly, as shown in the photo below, tilting it at the end so that the float of the fuel level sensor does not cling to the tank:
If it is necessary to replace the “larva” of the fuel pump itself, we remove and install it in the reverse order. Although, there are many owners who change the entire assembly assembly. The price of a gasoline pump for VAZ 2113, 2114 and 2115 is from 3000 to 4000 rubles. If you need to buy the pump itself, then its price will be around 1500 rubles.
