The first generation Nissan Qashqai J10 has been in production since 2006. In 2010, a restyling was carried out, after which the interior was significantly changed and several new engine and gearbox trim levels were added.

How to change the stove motor with your own hands
Before replacing or repairing the motor, make sure that the fuse has not blown.
List of necessary tools for replacing the heater engine with your own hands:
- ratchet with extension;
- screwdriver Torx T20;
- heads for 10 and 13 or keys of the same size (but heads are more convenient);
- pliers;
- flat and Phillips screwdrivers;
- clip pullers.
Step-by-step process:
- The car is de-energized (first the negative terminal is removed, then the positive one).
- Hood release cable disconnected.
- Consistently removed - the left side of the dashboard and the bottom of the panel under the steering wheel, all on rivets, the location of which is better to determine in advance.
- The climate sensors and connector are disconnected from the left button block.
- We find the upper chamber of the intake flap and remove the clamp that secures the wiring.
- The pedal assembly is removed (before this, the connector for the brake and accelerator pedal limit switches is removed).
- After that, the cabin filter housing breaks.
- The power connector is disconnected from the motor, which is rotated counterclockwise and removed.
After the motor is removed, it should be cleaned of debris and dirt and inspect the winding and brushes. If it is impossible to restore the operation of the old heater engine, the new one is installed in the same place in the reverse order.
The heater fan is replaced after the engine has been stopped, removed and cleaned.
Replacing the heater fan
A constant fan speed, strange squealing noises, and no airflow after turning on the heater may indicate a problem with the fan. This does not necessarily mean that the stove fan needs to be replaced, unless its physical integrity has been compromised.

In any case, the condition of the heater motor is assessed after it is disassembled and cleaned from dust accumulating both on the body and under it.
Before proceeding with the repair, it is necessary to check:
- bushing (or bearing) condition;
- the presence of damage to the fan;
- wiring condition;
- checking the resistance in the winding (both rotor and stator);
- check the condition of the brush assembly.
At the same time, the air ducts are cleaned, the operation of dampers, switches and all components is checked.
Instructions
To assess the condition of the motor and important components, it is necessary to remove the impeller (for this you will need a key and carefully remove the motor from the housing. In this case, dust must be removed. Checking and replacing brushes on a Nissan Qashqai will require removing the brush holder plate.
- A broken fan is not repaired, but replaced with a new one.
- Worn out brushes can be replaced, although this is a laborious process and is best left to the professionals.
- If the rotor (anchor) on which the brushes rotate is worn out, you will have to change the entire motor, it is useless to repair the old one.
- The burnt winding also ends with a complete replacement of the stove motor.
