Replacing the outer and inner CV joints on Priore - video

This post will discuss the detailed procedure for replacing the inner and outer drive CV joints on a Lada Priora car. It was not possible to take a photo of the description of this instruction, but it turned out to record everything on video, which would be an ideal option for this kind of instruction.
To begin with, it is worth saying about those tools and devices that may be needed when performing this repair. First of all, we need:
- Breakdown
- Hammer
- Vices
- Socket heads for 17, 19 and 30 mm
- Hammer and assembly blade
- Ball joint and head end puller

The procedure for performing work on dismantling and installing CV joints
- Pry off the dustproof plastic cap and take it out
- When the car is still on the ground, we rip off the hub nut, as well as the wheel bolts.
- Raise the front part with a jack and finally remove the front wheel
- We take out the cotter pin of the ball pin of the steering tip, unscrew the nut and, using a puller, press out the finger from the steering knuckle of the rack
- We unscrew the ball joint from the front suspension arm (we unscrew the two bolts from the bottom)
- We unscrew the hub nut to the end and move the rack along with the brake mechanism to the side, thereby freeing the outer CV joint
- To remove the inner one, you can use a mounting spatula to pry it off and disconnect it from the gearbox - this is best done in a pit
- We take out the entire Priora drive assembly and in a vice you can knock down the CV joints with a hammer
I think that in the above video instruction, the whole process is shown more clearly and there should be no questions when replacing the CV joints on the Priora. It is worth noting a few more points: the price of new CV joints can be:
- For internal - about 1200-1400 rubles
- For outdoor - at least 800 rubles per item
Installation takes place in the reverse order and, subject to all the points, difficulties should not arise.
