Replacing the front stabilizer bar Kia Rio
It's time to replace the front stabilizer bar on Kia Rio? Consider a step-by-step guide, there is nothing complicated in it. The replacement process is somewhat similar to replacing the stabilizer struts with a Ford Focus, however, with the exception of the tool used, which one - read on.
Tool
- balonnik (for unscrewing the wheel);
- head 14;
- key on 15;
- preferably: a crowbar or mounting (in order to put a new rack in the required holes).
Replacing the stabilizer bar Kia Rio
Hang up the desired front wheel, remove it. You can see the location of the stabilizer bar on the Kia Rio in the photo below.
After you rip off the fastening nut with a 14 head, hold the stabilizer post with a 15 wrench and unscrew the fastener to the end. The top and bottom mounts can be unscrewed in the same way.
To install a new stand, insert the upper part into the corresponding hole, most likely the lower mount will not coincide with the desired hole, therefore, you need to bend the stabilizer down with a small crowbar or assembly until the stand is in place.
