Replacing the front brake pads with Largus

With a sufficiently large mileage or with poor quality of the factory-installed brake pads on the Lada Largus car, they can be replaced with new ones on their own, using a minimum of tools, namely:

  • Flat screwdriver
  • Balloon wrench and jack
  • 13 and 15 mm wrenches
  • Pry bar

The procedure for performing work on replacing the pads Lada Largus

To begin with, we rip off the wheel bolts and lifting the car with a jack, completely remove the front wheel. After that, it is necessary to spray the caliper bolts with penetrating grease so that they can be unscrewed more easily.

After waiting a few minutes, unscrew the lower caliper bolt, while holding the finger with a 15 mm wrench. That, in principle, is similar to front-wheel drive VAZ cars. Then lift the caliper bracket up to release the brake pads.

We take out the old pads by hand, since nothing else holds them and we replace them with new ones.

Installation takes place in reverse order, and one difficulty may arise here. The brake cylinder will prevent the pads from being installed in their place. For this, it will first need to be drowned to the end, using either a screwdriver or a pry bar. Then repeat the procedure again.

Do not forget that after installation, the braking performance will not be the best, since the pads with discs must rub in.
