Instructions for replacing the pump (water pump) VAZ 2107
The water pump of a VAZ 2107 car is a fairly reliable piece, but sometimes it can also malfunction. It usually wears out prematurely if the alternator belt is overtightened. That is, the bearing breaks down and the operating efficiency drops sharply. This can lead to overheating of the engine, so it is not worth delaying the replacement.
The guide below will show an example of replacement along with the case, although this is not necessary in ordinary cases.

Pump replacement procedure
Of course, before proceeding with this repair, we need to complete some preparatory points, namely:
We take a screwdriver and loosen the hose clamp that fits the pump. More clearly shown in the photo below:
After that, you can remove the pipe by applying a certain effort. the result is shown in the photo below:
Next, you need to unscrew and remove the thin tube for supplying coolant. Keep in mind that the tube is very “delicate” and must be handled very carefully so as not to break. It is best to use a ratchet handle with a 10 mm head. Take a look below:
Now it is worth taking the pipe aside carefully and effortlessly:
The pancake bolt of the VAZ 2107 pump body is located on top and we need to unscrew it first:
Then try to remove it from the holes. This is not always easy to do, but you can spray it with a penetrating lubricant to make your job easier:
It remains to unscrew the two bolts securing the water pump from below. They are located in such a way that it is best to use an open-end wrench:
At this stage, almost everything is ready and now you can carefully remove the pump from the car along with its body. Note again that in most cases you have to remove the water pump separately, so this repair can be easier and faster several times over.

Installation is carried out in reverse order. The price of a new pump for a VAZ 2107 is approximately 700-1000 rubles. The cost depends on the manufacturer. Do not forget that it is highly desirable to make and replace all gaskets that were broken during this repair.
