Replacing the cooling radiator on a VAZ 2107-2105

Many VAZ 2107-2105 car owners are accustomed to repairing it with a small radiator leak, since the cost of this spare part is quite high. But based on the experience and feedback of many motorists, repairs such as sealing a cooling radiator cannot go for a long time, since antifreeze or antifreeze are rather fluid liquids and over time they begin to seep even through tiny holes. Therefore, the best repair options would be a complete replacement.

To complete this task, we need the following tool:

1. 10 head with extension
2. Ratchet handle
3. Flat and Phillips screwdrivers

Instructions for replacing a radiator on a VAZ 2107-2105

So, before proceeding with the repair, the first step is to completely drain the coolant and remove the fan so that it does not interfere during removal.

Then we disconnect the hoses from the radiator, having previously unscrewed the fastening clamps. First, a thin hose from the expansion tank on top:

Then the top thick nipple, which is shown in the photo below:

And it remains to disconnect another pipe that goes to the lower right corner of the radiator on the VAZ 2107:

After that, unscrew one radiator mounting nut on the left side, as shown in the picture below:

And one nut on the right:

Since all fasteners are released, you can safely remove the car's radiator outward, slightly moving it to the side and lifting it up:

If necessary, we replace this part with a new one. Installation of all parts removed from the vehicle is carried out in reverse order. The price of a new radiator ranges from 1000 to 3500 rubles, depending on what metal it is made of.
