Replacing the alternator belt on the VAZ 2107
The alternator belt on the “classic” models runs for quite a long time, but still the owners have to change it, at least once every 50-70 thousand kilometers, as it wears out anyway. The procedure itself is quite simple and requires only two open-end wrenches to complete it: 17 and 19

So, first of all, you need to spray penetrating grease on the lower bolt of the generator mounting and loosen it slightly, as is clearly shown in the photo below:
After that, you can safely unscrew the tensioner nut, which is located on top of the device and is clearly visible in the picture:
When it is released, it is necessary to slide the generator all the way up along the cutout:
This can be done by applying a certain effort with your hand, grasping the nut and pulling it to the side. After the belt is loosened enough, you can safely remove it, starting with the pump pulley:

Now we buy a new belt and replace it. The price for VAZ 2107 belts and other models of rear-wheel drive Lada is about 80 rubles, so the purchase will not empty your pocket.

Sometimes it is impossible to put the belt on the pulleys with our hands, then we put it on like a chain on a bicycle and turn the starter a bit - it sits on the pulleys like a native.
