1. Remove the gearbox by unscrewing all fasteners.
2. Notice how the steering wheel is positioned in relation to the basket. If a new basket is being installed, this is not necessary.
3. Remove the release bearing and inspect it carefully. Check for signs of wear, damage.
4. Block the flywheel and check it for damage and wear.
5. Remove the bolts that secure the housing to the flywheel. The bolts should not be sharply unscrewed, do everything carefully and gradually so as not to break the spring.
6. Remove the basket, housing and clutch disc.

In the event that fastening is made with bolts on the crankshaft flange, the following manipulations are performed:

1. Remove checkpoint. Note that you will need to remove at least one of the drives.
2. Lock the steering wheel.
3. Remove the flywheel from the drive plate and release the clutch driven plate. All bolts must be unscrewed slowly.
4. Now you need to loosen the spring fastening and remove the plug.
5. Next, you need to fix the front plate of the clutch drive disc (basket) and carefully unscrew the bolts.
6. Disassemble the plate.
7. Remove the basket from the crankshaft flange.

Installing the clutch

The installation procedure is carried out in reverse order. If you put new elements, then they are mounted in any position convenient for you. After that, the elements will be lapped. But if the elements were in use, they should be placed in the same position as before. Clutch replacement for Hyundai Accent is as follows:

1. A small amount of CV joint grease should be applied to the splines of the drive disk (basket).
2. Using a bushing of suitable thickness or an old input shaft, it is necessary to center the basket.
3. Secure the carcass with bots. In this case, the basket must be supported, not allowed to move. Press on the flywheel evenly.
4. The centering mandrel must move freely.
5. Wipe off excess grease so that it does not get on the friction linings.
6. Tighten all mounting bolts with the flywheel locked.
7. Install the bearing in the lever.
8. Check the quality of new items.

How to replace the release bearing

If you need to change the release bearing, you need to follow a series of steps:

1. We rotate the fork (it contains the clutch bearing).
2. Remove the rubber gasket assembly from the pallet.
3. Disconnect the fork bearing.
4. Install a new bearing in the fork.
5. Lubricate all points of contact between the bearing elements and the basket, the input shaft.
