Replacing the window regulator for VAZ 2114 and 2115

On most Lada Samara cars, such as VAZ 2114 and 2115, power windows were installed from the factory. Of course, they have a lot of advantages, and it is much more convenient than mechanical ones. But at the same time, if a mechanism or motor fails, it simply will not work to close or open the car window.

To replace the power window on a VAZ 2114 and 2115 assembly, you will need the following tool:

1. 10 mm head
2. Ratchet or crank
3. Extension

How to remove a window regulator assembly on a VAZ 2114 and 2115

The first step is to get to the mounts of the entire mechanism, and to do this - remove the front door trim... When we have coped with this, we unscrew the two bolts securing the door glass to the trapezoid bar.

They are tightened with a fairly considerable torque, although they have a small thread diameter, so it is most convenient to do this with a head.

Now it is worth looking at the rest of the fastening of the mechanism to the door. The photo below clearly shows all the nuts for securing the power window.

Then you can unscrew all of them one by one. First, there are three that attach the motor:

Then one at the top in the immediate vicinity of the glass:

Two in the center:

And one almost at the very bottom:

When all fasteners are released, it is necessary to disconnect the power plug from the power window motor. After that, you can carefully remove the entire trapezoid from the studs, and remove the mechanism through the largest technological hole in the door.

And the final result will look something like this.

Now you can buy a new window regulator, the price of which is about 1000 rubles assembled and replace it. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, and there is no difficulty in the process of this work.

If the malfunction was in the motor itself, which happens most often, then it is the electric motor that can be replaced. It costs about 600 rubles, and it is just as easy to change.
