We will analyze what is needed for replacement, the algorithm itself and give some tips that will make the work easier.

Tool

  • 2 keys for 17 (or key + head);
  • jack;
  • preferably a small assembly or crowbar.

Algorithm for replacing the stabilizer bar

We hang out and remove the front wheel. The stabilizer bar is shown in the photo below.

To remove, it is necessary to unscrew 2 nuts by 17 - the upper and lower fasteners, respectively. In this case, it is necessary to hold the rack pin itself with a second key for 17 so that it does not turn.

Please note that on some analogs there is no longer a hexagon for holding the finger with a 17 key, and instead of it there is a hexagon at the end of the finger, it can be of different sizes, but in this example, the key is 8.

Start the installation by inserting the bottom pin into the bottom hole, the top pin will most likely not line up with the top hole. In this situation, the following advice will help.

In order for the old stand to easily come out of the holes, and the fingers of the new one, respectively, coincide with the holes, it is necessary to bend the stabilizer down with a crowbar or a small assembly until the new stabilizer stand snaps into place.

Then you can tighten the nuts into place, according to the same principle - with two keys.
