The stabilizer struts on the Kia Sportage run for quite a long time, of course, it all depends on the operating and maintenance conditions, however, the average service life of the struts is 50-60 thousand km. There is nothing complicated in this work, but the service asks for almost 700 rubles for replacing one piece. Consider an algorithm on how to replace the front stabilizer struts with your own hands on a Kia Sportage.

We start by removing the desired wheel. The location of the front stabilizer link is shown in the photo below.

Next, with one wrench or a 17 head, we begin to unscrew the fastening nut (you can start both from the top and from the bottom, everything is the same), and with the second key we hold the stand finger itself, otherwise it will turn.

When installing a new stand, it may happen that the fingers of the stabilizer stand may not line up with the holes. In this case, it is necessary to either raise the entire rack with a second jack, placing the jack under the lower arm, or raise the car even higher with the main jack, place a block of such a height under the lower arm so that it is slightly lower than the lever. After that, it is necessary to lower the car with a jack, the main stand will rest against the block and not lower, respectively, you need to catch the moment when the holes coincide with the fingers of the new stabilizer stand.
