Replacing the stabilizer struts Nissan Qashqai

Today we will analyze the process of replacing the Nissan Qashqai stabilizer struts. There is nothing complicated in the work, everything can be done with your own hands, but it is desirable to know some of the nuances and have the necessary tools - all this is described in this material.

Tool

• balonnik for unscrewing the wheel;
• jack;
• key on 18;
• key on 21;
• you may need (one thing): a second jack, a block for a stand under the lower arm, mounting.

Notethat the key sizes are correct for the factory stabilizer struts. If the racks have already changed, then the key sizes are most likely different from those indicated. Consider this fact and prepare the necessary set of tools in advance.

Replacement Algorithm

We unscrew, hang up and remove the corresponding front wheel. The stabilizer post is marked in the photo below.

We clean the mounting threads from dirt, it is also advisable to spray with WD-40 and let the nut peel off for some time. Next, using a key of 18, unscrew the upper and lower rack mounting nuts.

If the stand finger scrolls along with the nut, then from the inside we hold the finger with a 21 key.

If, after unscrewing all the nuts, the rack does not come out of the holes, then you must:

• with the second jack, raise the lower lever, thereby relaxing the tension of the stabilizer;
• either place a block under the lower arm and lower the main jack;
