Replacing the stabilizer struts Renault Fluence

We analyze the process of replacing the stabilizer struts with Renault Fluence. You can easily make a replacement with your own hands, the main thing is to have a tool and know some of the points that we will describe in this article.

Tool

• jack;
• balonnik for unscrewing the wheel;
• key 16 (if you still have the original stabilizer stand. If the stand has changed, then the nut may be of a different size);
• hexagon 6;
• preferably one thing: a second jack, a block (put under the lower arm), assembly.

Replacement Algorithm

We start the replacement by removing the wheel, respectively, we hang the desired side on the jack. The Renault Fluence stabilizer strut mounts are shown in the photo below.

It is advisable to pre-clean the thread from dirt and rust, and also fill it well WD-40 as the nuts sour over time.

We unscrew the upper and lower nuts, if the finger itself began to turn together with the nut, then it must be held with a 6 hexagon.

If the rack will not easily come out of the holes, then you must:

• with a second jack, raise the lower arm, thereby removing the extension of the stabilizer bar;
• put a block under the lower arm and lower the main jack;
• bend the stabilizer itself and pull out the rack.

The new stand is installed in the same way as removal.
