Replacing the stabilizer struts Skoda Fabia

This article will help you learn how to independently replace the stabilizer struts with a Skoda Fabia. Consider the required tool and a detailed replacement algorithm.

Tool

  • balonnik for wheel removal;
  • jack;
  • key for 16 (if you still have native racks);
  • sprocket TORX 30;
  • preferably one thing: a second jack, a block, an assembly.

Replacement Algorithm

We unscrew, hang out and remove the desired wheel. Using a 16 key, unscrew the upper and lower stabilizer bar mounting nuts.

If the stand pin starts to turn together with the nut, then it is necessary to hold it with a TORX 30 sprocket.

If the strut does not come out of the holes, then release the tension on the stabilizer. To do this, either raise the lower arm with the second jack, or put a block under the lower arm and slightly lower the main jack.

As a last resort, you can bend the stabilizer itself by mounting and pull out the stand, similarly inserting a new one into place.
