Replacing the stabilizer strut Hyundai Solaris

Replacing the stabilizer bar on the Hyundai Solaris is done similarly to most cars of this class, there is nothing complicated in the replacement process, this repair can be done with your own hands, armed with the necessary tools.

Tool

• balonnik for unscrewing the wheel;
• jack;
• head 17;
• open-end wrench for 17;
• preferably one thing: a second jack, a block, an assembly.

Pay attention! When buying a new stabilizer stand, nuts of a different size can be installed on it (depending on the manufacturer of the new stub stand), so look at the situation and prepare the necessary keys. Also, if the rack has already changed, then the nuts may well be of a different size.

Replacement Algorithm

We hang the car, remove the front wheel. You can see the location of the front stabilizer bar in the photo below.

It is necessary to unscrew the upper and lower fastening nuts with the head at 17. If the stand pin is scrolled together with the nut, then it must be held with an open-end wrench at 17 on the other side (the place for the wrench is located immediately after the boot).

Having unscrewed all the nuts, we take out the rack. If it does not come out easily, then it is necessary:

• jack up the lower arm with a second jack (thereby, we remove the tension in the stabilizer);
• put a block under the lower arm and slightly lower the main jack;
• bend the stabilizer itself and pull out the rack.

The installation of the new rack is carried out in exactly the reverse order.
